Mirror Lake Getaway

This past weekend Dave and I took a little trip to Mirror Lake. I feel like my family use to go there a lot when we were growing up, and it was fun to recognize all the little places that I hadn't been to in a while. I had never realized how long of a drive it was, a little over 2 hours, but fun non the less.

I have had a lot of friends visit the Mirror Lake area and talk about how pretty it is right now and it was just as pretty as expected. Very green, big blue skies, and lots and lots of pretty little wild flowers.

Since I got off work a little late Friday night, we drove and set up camp in the dark, so it was a treat to wake up in such a pretty area.

We had forgotten to bring cash to pay for the camp site, so we drove down early the first morning into town. It was about 8am and I can't even tell you how many deer we saw on the drive down. I of course didn't get a picture of it but there was even one tiny spotted baby dear standing in the middle of the road! Scary, didn't want to hit the poor thing, but so cute!
