Time To Pamper

So I have been taking the time in the evenings to pamper myself in getting ready for bed. I always feel so wonderful after my evening pampering sessions.

I start the evening by taking a hot shower. I read an article that talked about how mothers give their children a warm bath before bed to relax them, and why don't we do the same thing for ourselves? I honestly have a hard time getting to sleep if I haven't treated myself to a hot bath or shower. It helps relax my back and sooth me for bed.

Once out I then use my favorite coconut oil to moisturize, which smells so heavenly. Also, have you ever noticed how often Lavender is a common sent found in baby soaps and lotions? Lavender definitely helps to soothe and relax and is proven to help anxiety, headaches and insomnia. If I am not using my beloved coconut oil I'll use a Lavender lotion. And then I just do my usual facial routine.

Simple, amazing way to relax and wind down after a long day.

Also, I have tried a few home beauty improvements.

On Friday I tried a at home acne spot treatment found via this You Tube vlogger, using a 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, nutmeg and honey. Although it didn't work as expected (to Banish acne and acne scars) I don't think I put a think enough layer on, but I plan on trying it again.

I have also started brushing my teeth with baking soda mixed with a little bit of water and tooth paste which is supposed to help whiten them when done once a week. This is my first week, so I will let you know how it turns out!
