Harpers Ferry

Last week Dave and I took a drive out to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. Harpers Ferry sits at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers. It is such an adorable little town. It is full of cute shops, restaurants, as well as museums scattered throughout the town.

The water was so clear and inviting, and had we known we could swim, we would have brought our swimsuits. It was horribly hot. The humidity here is so rough! And to add the cherry on top, the AC in our car isn't working anymore. UGH. But we're surviving, and despite the heat trying to get out and explore.

We plan to go up to Harpers Ferry again in the fall, once it cools off, as there are lots of trail heads that start there. I'm sure it is so pretty in the fall!

I made this crappy little video of our day trip. Enjoy!

And later that week a huge, awesome storm rolled in. Dave, Dad, and I went out and watched it while Dad tried to capture some with his GoPro. It was awesome until the park police kicked us out. Haha. Fun times!

Make sure to watch in HD!

Make sure to check back Friday for an amazing new cupcake recipe I am currently obsessing over.
