At the beginning of August, my little sister Jess came to visit us! It was so fun having her in town while she was on break from BYUI.
One of the first days in town, we went to dinner at the food hall at the Pearl. There are a bunch of different little windows where you can order food. We each tried something different.
Jess tried a dish from Tenko Ramen
I tried a chicken sandwich from Fletcher's.
Honestly, none of us were really crazy about anything we ordered... hahaha... But it was still a fun time!
We wrapped up with dessert from Maybelle's that was so cute and yummy!
The next day we took Jess to my favorite place, Boerne Lake! We had fun taking turns in my kayak and we rented a paddle board in the afternoon, but I wasn't so good at balancing on that... hahaha!
On the way home we stopped at The Dogfather for dinner. This place is dangerous! I am not usually a fan of hot dogs, but their gourmet hot dogs are something else! Be sure to check out their weekly special! They also have the best curly fries!
The next day we babysat our friends kiddos. They are seriously the cutest little people! We made our way to the Saturday morning farmers market..
That evening we enjoyed Peruvian take out for dinner!
Monday we spent more time enjoying beautiful Texas, tubing down the river in New Braunfels! The water is so clear and beautiful!

For lunch we went to our favorite German place, Krause's Cafe
We weren't quite done with our time in the sun so we made our way to our favorite park. Rio Vista. It was so busy! But still a fun time! Jess was even brave enough to go down the falls a couple times!
Jess flew out in the afternoon the next day so we didn't have much time for many adventures. Her last meal request was Shake Shack and we were happy to oblige!
