Let's Go to the Movies

Dave and I went and saw Contagion last night.

It was dramatic, and interesting. Although I spent the night thinking about sick people, getting sick, and zombies, even though the movie didn't have any zombies...

"A thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak."

It's a very end of the world type movie which Dave loves. It has a pretty big star cast; Jude Law, Gwneyth Paltrow, Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, to name just a few. I am not a huge fan of end of the world movies as I find myself stressing of what I would do in that kind of situation, it's not a feel good movie in any way, thus the reason you would have found me watching the Office within an hour of being home after seeing it, but regardless, I'll end up owning this when it comes out.

A few weekends back we saw Crazy Stupid Love -- I had heard good things about it and it has tons of actors I love, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Julianne Moore... It was a little on the inappropriate side..... But I enjoyed it.
It was a total Suit Fest. What is a Suit Fest you ask? A fest of suits, of course.
Ever since meeting Dave, I have become a big suit girl. The first thing I noticed, and even talked to Dave about was how much I liked his suit (little did I know the hems of his pants were being held up by paper clips...) So whenever I am watching a movie or flipping through a magazine I notice shnazzy suites, and this movie had lots of them. Honestly, I will probably buy it Only because I enjoyed the men's fashion so much. (and... Ryan Gosling...)

We're on a roll aren't we? We also saw Captain America. I will be honest, I was so excited to see this, I hadn't heard one bad thing about it, and as a result my expectations of the movie were far too high, and I found myself disappointed. Captain America was not as handsome as I imagine Captain America to be. His chin was lacking a deep dimple that I thought should have been there. And Hugo Weaving's character got old. Not my favorite job on Hugo Weaving's part. But, the movie was well done, I liked the antique feel of the movie and I thought the girl they had playing the love interest was pretty cute. I'll probably buy it once the Blu-Ray price drops to $15, particularly only because I have a feeling of deep need to own the movie of each character included in the Avengers.
