30 Minute Meals - Chicken Gyros

This is a repeat post, but I made these tonight and it reminded me of how easy, yummy and healthy these are! So a while back I posted about an oh.so.yummy Greek restaurant in Salt Lake that Dave and I went to, and loved. We don't go to Salt Lake often and haven't found a local Greek place good enough to waste money on, so we have been making our own.

It's a really easy meal. A normal Gyro is usually a lot fuller then our little ones here, ours just depend on what we have in the fridge at the time. I buy pita pockets at the store, and Greek Yogurt.

I add Basil, salt and pepper to the Yogurt. And then grill chicken in Basil with a little bit of olive oil. Normally I put cucumbers, tomatoes and feta in the pitas as well, but we only had tomatoes  today. Still plenty yummy!

I also did a side salad, Asian style with spinach, tomatoes, chicken and wonton strips. I love these wonton strips, you can get them for like $3.50 at Smiths and they are only 35 calories per serving and hardly use a serving size on my salads. They add a great tasty crunch that I love. For sure pick some up!

For the dressing I used this;

This stuff is so yummy. It is sweet and tangy. You can find it at Smiths (don't remember for how much). It is high in salt, but that's it! Be sure to toss the salad well because is does just sink to the bottom of the bowl since it's so liquidy.

Happy Sunday!
