D Line to Mineral ~ As well As the Day We Almost Die, and Jackson Actually Does

Colorado

So today we visited downtown Denver (Kyla, Coop and I)

We took the Light Rail = the Colorado version of Trax and shopped around.

It was pretty toasty at first (thank Heavens for cool and comfy dresses) I bought a ring at Forever 21 and was going to buy some glasses but they literally fell apart in my hand. Kyla and Coop got sweet cute dresses.

I was trying to take a sneak picture of the kid behind her, but it wasn't working out...

We visited the the Brown Palace Hotel (high class ~ super fancy ~ there was a dude playing the piano and tons of middle aged women drinking tea and eating mini scones ~ the fancy kind ~ totally a place for my Mom)

But it's supposedly haunted. = /

We went to the Trinity Chapel, but you can't go in. Looked cool though.
On our way from the Chapel to lunch it began to pour. POUR.
It didn't last long, like at all, we probably could have stopped and waited for it to quickly pass, but instead we ran/skipped/quicklywalked to Anthony's Pizza for lunch.
Kyla and I had to take off our flip flops because they were slipping on the tile/sidewalk. My feet still slid around but not as bad as my flip flops. We were drenched. Dripping. Soaked.
But it was kinda cool though.
The pizza was huge but delish.

We had one extra slice of pizza, so we decided to give it to a homeless guy. But we could not find one. Crazy? We're in town down Denver and we can't find a homeless guy. So we remembered seeing on earlier, and we went to his previous place, but he was not there. So I gave the idea that we should leave a note. So Kyla wrote a note and we left the pizza on a newspaper stand.

After that we decided to call it a day and head home.
But, the Light Rail was delayed because of technical difficulties. They had a sign that said the delay would be about 15 to 20 minutes.
We waited over an hour just to get on.
Tons ~ At least 30 - 50 people just like stood on the sidewalks waiting and waiting.
When the rail finally came, we had to find the right line ~ D, but heading the wrong direction. But no big deal, they turn around at the end of the line, right?

At the end of the line it said "End of the line, everyone must exit the Light Rail with all of their belongings."
We all kinda got nervous at this point (Kyla did the most, Lol) We were in a pretty sketchy part of town. Kyla swears she saw a man with a gun.
In a panic we slowly, nervously exited with the fellow passengers, trying to figure out what to do. A man who had seen our freaking explained we could catch a bus at the end of line.
We exited the rail, but saw people enter it after us. Then the sign on the rail switched and said D line to Mineral. Mineral was what we needed.
We jumped on and after a little more delays due to technical difficulties finally made it back to Mineral to where are car was parked.
We then went to the craft store Michael's (heh ironic, who died today?) and we bought shirt and markers later to be used to make shirts at home.

What an adventurous day.
