Oh New York, How I Love You - Lots of Words, Lots of Pictures, But I Think It Will Be Worth Your While

So two Thursdays ago, as a family we all went down to Rochester, New York. It was a blast! It is soooo pretty there! The only thing it's missing is.... Mountains!
On the plane ride there we watched the Time Travelers Wife. It's a really cinematicly well done movie, but with the most ridiculous ending anyone could have ever pulled out. I didn't approve.
And Jess asked if plains have horns. She asked the pilot. They do not.
Oh, and if you know me well, you know of my love for all things Flight of the Conchords. Well there was a guy on our first flight who was like a spitting image of Murray Hewitt. Look him up.

When we got there we went and had dinner with three of my Aunt and Uncles and some cousins at a burger place. Then at like 12 that night, Megan and I went with our Uncle Ray and our cousin Anna to get cousin Rob from the airport.
If you know me well, or at least have fallowed this blog, you will know about my basketball... Well I wore it the first night, got some funny reactions. Pretty funny!

The next day we all went to uncle Chris and aunt Anita's house. They have this super cute dog! Super cute. Then we went and got sandwiches. Good sandwiches, don't get me wrong, but anywhere we went, I could not find a place that put avocados on my sandwich. Is that not jacked or what?!!?! Maybe I just kept going to all the wrong places... I dunno.

Rob and Christina were pretty good chums on this trip. Lol

After food we all went downtown.
Downtown I thought was pretty rad. It's like your usual down town and then there is a river, and a waterfall. Um random? But sweet!
We went to a museum and then wondered around and chit chatted.

A little later, we drove to this fire station and that was our big memorial/family reunion. It was fun hanging with all the family all together. I dig my family!

Do you dig Justin's beard as much as I do? No shave November!!!

After that Megan and I hung with out super rockin cousins Rob, Jonathan, and Justin. We watched Casanova, it was pretty sweet.

Then we drove over to my aunts house, on the way there I made my dad stop and let me jump out and get Ben and Jerries. I had been dying for ice cream all night. We passed one and I was like, stop stop! Turn this car around! They were like 7 minutes till close, but I got me my ice cream. And I ate it ALL, and there was A lot A lot in like 15 minutes. Lol, don't judge.

My Aunts house is pretty rad. It's basically an antique store, turned into a house. I dig it, a lot. Christina said, and I quote "Ya know, if she sold all this stuff on Ebay, she'd make lots of money."

The next day we went to Palmyra and went to the printing press, and the Sacred Grove. It was so cool. I can't even explain. But I really hope that it's high on your list of places in the world to go, because it should be.

So to explain the below picture.... Lol, Jess and Christina were sitting on a bench and I was taking pictures of them. Then we hear these heavy footsteps moving through the leaves. And they kept like starting and stopping. We're all like... What is that?? Next thing I know, Christina, who was like probably 20 feet away leaps up from the bench and runs to me and Megan with the below look on her face. So funny!

On the plane ride back, well first, hello hot guys! Lol. We had one super hot, dark, buff flight attendant. And then there was this flirty ginger behind me, who kinda looked like Jim. And to even make the flight better, we got to watch 500 Days of Summer (Panda! - inside joke. Nice editing on that movie! Lol) and 30 Rock! Fave movie + Fave show + Hot Guys = Good time. And that's it! Yay!

I took SOOOOOOOOOO many pictures! And I still have even more to edit and share!
Watch and enjoy!

  1. We went to Palmyra about the same time of year, 3 years ago. I took one of my favoritest pictures of my girls in the sacred grove. Looks like a way fun trip. I want to take you to lunch this week for watching my dog forever ago, when can you go?
