Sherwood Forest Faire

This past weekend we visited the Sherwood Forest Faire in McDade, east of Austin. We had kept seeing ads for it and when I came across discounted tickets thanks to Costco we decided to give it a try. I didn’t honestly have very high hopes for it, thinking it wouldn’t be as great as my much loved, and missed Maryland Ren Fest, but I was actually blown away!

The drive out was so pretty. The further north east we drive the more lush Texas became. So many beautiful trees, farms and wildflowers lining the road!

The road into the park was lined with thick beautiful trees! It honestly reminded me of the east coast.

Just as we arrived it started pouring rain! I was absolutely drenched! We hid out in a little shop and watched candle making while we waited out the storm.

Luckily it didn’t rain for too long and we were able to explore the faire. There were so many fun things to check out! They had lots of shops, shows and sculptures to enjoy, and the trees were so big and beautiful! It really felt just like I was back in Maryland!

It’s always so fun to see all the cool costumes! Next year we definitely want to dress up!

Honestly such a fun time and I can't wait to go again next year!
