Pinterest How To

So I have actually had a lot of requests for a Pinterest How To so after many failed attempts (dumb computer) I finally was able to make it!

Now this video is for those who are brand new to Pinterest. If you already know what pins or boards are this is not the video for you. But! For those who are experienced with Pinterest I have included some helpful tips below the video!

I hope you enjoyed the video!

And as promised....

Tips for the seasoned Pinners;

Informative Descriptions
Having informative descriptions helps you get repinned/liked more! If you post a picture of a product you love but don't explaine why you love it, why would any one repin it? As another blogger once said,
Use Your Words.

Utilize the Pin It Button
I feel a lot of people don't know how to use or are not even aware of the Pin It button, even people who are "seasoned" pinners. The Pin It button allows you to pin photos from websites you are visiting. You can install the Pin It button to your bookmarks bar. Pinterest has a how to video. This allows you to share awesome things you find on the web and also be able to pin things from your own blog or website!
"Pinterest is designed to curate and share things you love. If there is a photo or project you’re proud of, pin away! However, try not to use Pinterest purely as a tool for self-promotion."
Also! Bringing in new pins helps add more to the system rather than just repining ones that are already there.

Don't Just Pin, Do!
Pinterest can be very addicting and very overwhelming. Rather than being glued to the computer all the time do the things you are pinning! Make that yummy meal you keep drooling over or get a group of a friends together and work on some DIY crafts. I have made so many meals and so many crafts I have found via Pinterest that I feel very accomplished and less guilty about spending hours upon hours on Pinterest.

Spread the Word
Pinterest was launched in March of 2010 and has gained quite a lot of popularity since it was launched. It is currently on invitation only, but be liberal about your invitations! (Ok, I'm not saying spam peoples email with Pinterest invites) but if you have family or friends who you think would enjoy Pinterest, invite away! And I guarantee, they will thank you!

Thanks for reading / watching. I hope you learned something new!

Happy Pinning!

Also! If you are not currently on Pinterest, and are itching for an invite, leave a comment with your email address and I would be happy to send one your way!

Happy Almost Friday!
