Rocky Mountain National Park ~ Summer 2018

Dave's brother who lives in California was going to be in Utah for the 4th of July, and we didn't want to miss out on seeing him, so we made a trip. Lots of people think we are crazy for road tripping to Utah, as opposed to flying, but we always make such an adventure out the drive.

We stopped for the night in Amarillo, coming into town right at sunset.

Mom and Dad in Town ~ June 2018

Back in June my parents came to visit us! My dad has visited a few times thanks to needing to come here for business, but this was the first time mom tagged along. They need to make a return trip when it isn't so hot so mom can enjoy San Antonio a little more, she is not a fan of the heat, understandably! Hopefully, they can return in the early spring or late fall sometime. Despite the heat, we still had lots of fun times together.

The first full day together, mom and I went out to explore and do some antique shopping in Comfort, Texas, in the Hill Country. So many cute shops out there!

San Antonio Travel Guide

Since having lived here for 2 years, and having a few different visitors, we have learned some do's and don'ts when it comes to sharing SATX with friends and family. So lets jump right in for our (lengthy) list of best things to do, see and eat!

Josh in Town

Back in May, Daves youngest brother Josh came to stay with us for about two weeks. We jam-packed it with lots of fun activities. It was a great time having him come to visit!

On one of the first days, we went to Guadalupe River State Park. It's such a pretty park, we love to relax and hang in our hammocks. I just wish the water was a little deeper. We forced Rex to get in the water a bit, which he was not very happy about, hahaha...
